Dr. Grant L. Martin is a licensed psychologist and marriage and family therapist, in private practice with over 44 years of experience.  Dr. Martin is an expert in the special needs of children, including the identification and treatment of Attention Deficit Disorder, learning problems, and related issues.  Having worked with over 9500 children in his career, he has an extensive background in behavior problems, parent-child relationships, and family violence issues, including child sexual abuse.  Dr. Martin received his Ph.D. in educational and clinical psychology from the University of Washington, a M.S. degree in school psychology from the University of Idaho, and a B.A. degree in psychology from Westmont College.

Grant has written fourteen books, including the The Attention Deficit Child which is a revision of the best selling book entitled, The Hyperactive Child, published by Chariot Victor Publishing.  His most recent book is "Help! My Child Is Struggling In School, published by Focus on the Family/Tyndale House Publishers.  This is an abreviated version of his highly praised book, "Help! My Child Isn’t Learning", also published by Focus on the Family and coveres educational topics such as learning disabilities, ADHD, and emotional barriers to learning such as stress, divorce and abuse.

Another of his books is "Help! for Teachers: Strategies for Reaching All Students."  written for Christian school educators, to help them deal with special needs students, and was published by the Association of Christian Schools International in the Spring of 2004.

His numerous articles have been published in magazines such as Focus on the Family, Psychology for Living, and Single Parent Family; as well as professional journals such as Christian Counseling Today, Marriage and Family: A Christian Journal, and the Journal of Psychology and Christianity.

Dr. Martin appears frequently on radio talk shows and TV programs, including numerous appearances on Focus on the Family with Dr. Jim Dobson.  For a number of years, Grant was featured on the weekly Counseline radio program on KCIS in Seattle.

Married to Jane for 53 years, they have two sons and two grandchildren.  Grant takes time to pursue his woodworking and fly fishing hobbies.
